Changing the World is Darn Simple! This issue is about fighting, fear and truly living. My greatest fear in life is that I cannot change the world. Yup! That's me. I also kissed wounded worms as a child in hopes of making them better and, of course, will never live it down in my family. In order for me to live my life to its fullest, I have to continue to fight for something that I believe in which is a healthy future for planet earth and life upon it.
Over the holidays, the words of Katherine Sunita began to echo in my dreams. "Don't give up on us Lisa." Katherine is a brilliant young artist who is connected to other brilliant minds in Toronto, Canada who "feel" the pain of the planet while "desiring" change to the point of fighting for it at government's door. They want a healthy future and to feel safe which is a basic and base human need! To help Katherine and other young adults create change, visit Save The World.
As always, our mentors and their columns rock this month. I can never say enough about these great leaders with massive hearts! I especially want to thank Gloria Jean who was with me throughout December's 12 Days Till New Years Count-Up. Each day that I shared my heart, holidays, and life with our members, she empowered my efforts with hard-core positive energy, great ideas, and great love for our readership that were alone over the holidays. These writers and mentors have each fallen many times, but as Gloria says, they have gotten up more times than they have fallen therefore they have succeeded greatly! Gloria Jean, Beverly Raitz, Michael Killip, Roger Vokey, Matt Tod and David Suzuki are your mentors because they have each spent a lifetime lending a hand to most anyone in need. They are exceptional and here for you. I hope you enjoy this issue of Empowerment House. If nothing else, I hope you will fight for what you believe in and do your part to change the world and not give up on us. ;)
