This month’s theme is Motivation: Dare to Be Great. Empowerment House dares to be GREAT because of you! We are motivated by making you smile, inspiring you, possibly making you feel less alone, and/or teaching you something that may assist you on your journey through life.
In daring to be great, our team has to tear through themselves at times in order to find the strength to inspire others. Their strength over the past year has been admirable and I am very thankful for them and proud of them. This entire team is motivated by one thing and that is having the honour to inspire you which is pretty sweet. Daring to be great means daring to be exactly who you are and allowing yourself to be led by your passions. If you're true to yourself, the rest of life is much easier to deal with as you will ride on a certain self-confidence and inner peace that only comes with being true to you.
The magazine this month is motivational and all about those who have dared and do dare to be great! We are featuring Nelson Mandela, a man who changed the world, and Marlice Elretha Jansen van Vuuren, a woman who is changing Africa. Always the wisdom of the magazine, our mentor’s advice columns are as motivational as always. Suzuki teaches us how to become environmentalists, Gloria Jean says that greatness is happiness inside, Beverley writes about humour being a tool for greatness, Roger thinks we're already great, Amy brings the wisdom of the amazing Malcolm X, and Marc tells a story about the time he ran with the BULLS! The Life’s Survival Guide now offers Steps 1 through 6 of twenty steps to mastering life. I hope you enjoy this issue. October's issue will be dealing with facing fear under the theme of Hallowe'en! ;) Best always, Lisa
